Spring has sprung

The grass is riz

Yet they wonder where their people is…..

Blue Ribbon Baby Boy and White Ribbon Baby Boy – above – were the undeserved targets of last minute cancellations and their people never saw or came for them. These two most deserving of sweet boys really are waiting somewhat patiently for YOU to call.

Born in the litter of January 14th, 2017, you can see the happy puppyhood they shared in the previous posts since that date. Their littermates are all over the country with two in California and Pennsylvania, one each in Colorado, Ohio, and Texas!

Max’s Puppies Between 5 and 6 Weeks!

The father of our puppies born 11/16/2016 is Canadian CH Seneca Brave to the Max! Max excelled at loyal devotion and obedience, evidenced by his High in Trial at the National Specialty, Year of the Airedale 2003.

Max was born due to an unlikely series of events. While I was visiting in Germany in the late 1990’s, I was very impressed by a male Airedale. flashHis name was Champion D/KfT,
Deutscher Champion VDH, Champion INT. FLASH VON ARGONAUT VPG1, VPG2, VPG3, IPO3, AD, FH, Körklasse. 1A, Teilnahme KLSP 97 + 98. Flash represents a great line of European dogs; here’s where you can do some research….http://www.airedale-argonaut.de/erfolge.html

I was very interested in his talents and bloodlines but he wasn’t leaving Germany–and so decided to bring my very own CH Seneca Brave Chance (Jacki) to him. Jacki had recently finished her Championship owner handled with three majors by her breeder–and my son Tim. 1998_06timjacki_june1

After some months of planning, flying Jacki to Germany BEFORE she was in her heat cycle and waiting….and waiting….finally, Jacki was bred and sent back to me in the USA. With considerable AKC paperwork, we were able to produce and register a litter of Flash puppies in Ohio!2003_timsrphoto 2005-timandjacklasttime

Jacki has a special place in our family as my oldest son Tim took an interest in Junior Showmanship and Jacki was his best friend of all the Airedales we ever had. Tim even won a major towards her Championship under well known handler and AKC judge, Richard Cashoudian–we have a great show pic of that. I really need to look up more photos and scan them in. He took his senior high school photos with her. Shortly before she passed at the age of 13 he put his head together with hers to say good-bye.

Now we are playing with Jacki’s grandchildren, Max’s kids, and Allie’s babies–all in one package!

Having A BIG Week….

Yes siree BOB! Today the puppies did all of the following:

  • Got their first ever bath!
  • Got to play outside a bit after getting dry
  • Got group, bath, and individual shots taken!

Let’s just skip straight to the photos!

Bath time in the tub; followed by the girls getting pampered in spa towels (ready for our pedicure!) and below them, the boys looking like “The Right Stuff!

Then, fully dry, the APU (Airedale Puppies United) hit the field for a little practice time! Notice how they are logging some air time while others sit it out on the wooly bed…boot climbing and toy carrying are popular too!

We can still take reservations!

Graduation and Four Weeks Old

The APU (Airedale Puppies United) is now playing on a bigger field! I put down a great dish of food then ran to get the camera. I came back with it right away but the food had disappeared!

Here’s the new soccer field where APU is playing!

Coming soon to make a mess on *your* floor! Well, it’s not too bad when they get a little older 😉

Reservations suggested: Call 330-666-2004

Three Weeks Old…Score! (Will Play For Food, That Is….!)

Our APU team, that’s Airedale Puppies United to everyone who has been watching their new season, have started in on REAL food! They highly approve of this new development, along with eyes and ears now in full use, as well as vocal cords! Yes, we hear yips, growls, and every little noise they can make as they learn to speak “dog.”

Seneca Airedales

Seneca Airedales born Oct 26, 2015

The cuteness rating has gone through the roof this week! What could be cuter than two puppies that might weigh 2 pounds each tussling with each other? Play has been added the the previous favorites of eating and sleeping. Of course, they have a tendency to decide that Mom should visit them at about 2 am each night and sing a chorus of discontent until she does. You know, these guys are right next to the bedroom, so we know all their moves!

Week Three is also important as they have had the first mild preventative worming medication too. We like to set them up for a great first season!

Why is it so important to start food now at 21 days old? Well, consider this: Reddi weighs about 45 pounds and only needs about 3 cups of food per day to take care of her own needs. The puppies weigh about 2.5 pounds each and are rapidly gaining. So times the number of puppies gives us more than 20 pounds of puppies, almost half of Reddi’s body weight to support just through milk?!? That’s a lot of milk!  Reddi has been eating about 8 cups of densely nutritious foods every day plus drinking more than a gallon of water. The puppies demand just a little more each and every day then they did the day before. So–yes, we’re helping. Reddi sees them a lot and is very very happy to clean up any puppy food they miss! Then she cleans every puppy too!

One Week Old!

Yes, they are bigger now! We have already passed the critical conversion from colostrum to true milk. See here for more information about that. All they do is eat and sleep….and grow of course! Here are the latest photos:

Family Ties and Two Weeks Old

What maternal influence could possibly complement Luckyboy’s lineage and traits?

Meet German Import and Canadian Champion Jalomonis June (OFA Excellent) aka “Jenna.” Jenna1I showed and finished Jenna in Canada. She is the daughter of Jalomonis Connor SchH III, HDF-A2. This famous C litter included: Jenna2

  • Jalomonis Cay SchH III, FH Bundesseiger 2000,
  • Jalomonis Christopher SchH III, FH II, Leistungsseigerin ‘97, and
  • Jalomonis Cindy SchH III, Kk-1A.

We wove the pedigree with care, going to Am Can CH Seneca Whodunits Motive (OFA Excellent), leftAjax_alonewho embodied seven generations of Seneca background and was an Owner Handled Canadian Group winner. Then, with this daughter, we wove back to Germany again with German Import UCI International CH/Am CH Ikarus von Garnsee, right, again an Owner Handled Can Group winner.

Now, what everyone has been waiting for….

PUPPY PICTURES!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThese two photos taken early on October 23 by a very sleep deprived person! First puppy born at 6:20 pm on October 22 with final puppy born at 1 am. I stayed up until 3 to be sure and then had to be up for work by 7! OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Fortunately, I do work at home. Then…..pre- and post-feeding on November 6th. There are 5 boys and 1 girl.
